Last updated 1/24/08 Because the Women’s NCAA Rowing Championships will be held on Lake Natoma this year, the 2008 Gold Rush Regatta does not have a weekend and will not be conducted. Instead, the Sac State Aquatic Center will host Master’s Racing within the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships (PCRCs) on May 17, 2008. The PCRC will host 2000 meter races for Masters. The schedule will be limited. Please contact Bob Whitford at bwhit@csus.edu for further information. Gold Rush Masters Regatta Attention! DO TO THE DEMAND, THE 2007 GOLD RUSH REGATTA WILL ADD THE FOLLOWING EVENTS FOR NOVICE ROWERS: WOMEN'S NOVICE 4+, WOMEN'S NOVICE 8+, MEN'S NOVICE 4+ AND MEN'S NOVICE 8+. NO CATEGORIES WILL BE USED FOR NOVICE EVENTS.The 4+ races will be the first Finals and the 8+ will be after the Women's D8+ Masters Novice:“Master Novice” will use the following definition (as used by USRowing's Southwest Region): “all members of the crew are “novices” for two years from the date of their first race.” Entry for this event only will be extended until April 25, 2007. Official entries must be submitted in writing with entry fee but please contact Bob Whitford at 916-496-0081 if interested.
